The Backporch Friends product-line originated back in Nebraska in 1991, when Cody Foster, the artist/designer, was just 16 years old. His grandmother taught him the skills he would need to design and construct these wonderful folk art designs. All original Backporch Friends' pieces are handmade in Nebraska. Cody Foster now designs a reproduction line and changed the name of his company to CODY FOSTER & CO. in 2005.  All items shown below are from the CODY FOSTER & CO reproduction line produced in CHINA.  Original Backporch Friends designs are very hard to find.
